  • Great hosts, great show

While I always enjoy the topic discussions in each episode, I particularly love it when the hosts just chat about what they've been reading recently. You can tell these are friends who love comic books. - Eric from Longbox Review

  • Incredible Show!

This is a fantastic podcast with three guests that have a rapport that is honestly unmatched. After shamelessly listening to the show, I had to leave a review on how fantastic it is. I love it when they do a book of the month where they discuss in depth with what they love about the book and their dislikes. And it never comes off as hate when they dislike a book they have valid criticisms and then drop it.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 197: Interview with Dave Wielgosz
Q: How did you come to Showdown and land Ignition as the publisher?
I pitched multiple times, faced polite rejections, and then Jamie Rich at Ignition gave it a chance after reading different pitches; their belief in Showdown, especially as a first creator-owned book, made the project become a reality.
Episode 194: Psychic British Asian Ninja Mutant - X-Men, Wolverine, Psylocke & Jublie
Q: What was the intent behind the Acts of Vengeance crossover for the X-Men lineup?
The panelists agree the event was more about weaving a broader Marvel-wide gimmick into existing titles rather than a strict, linear X-Men storyline, and it served to mix up teams and enemy dynamics while drawing attention to high-profile artists like Jim Lee.
