New listener and my biggest takeaways are: they appreciate “nerd” culture and are passionate about the content, “oily pecs” needs to be mentioned every episode now 😂, “buddy two-hander” takes on a whole new meaning, and I’m looking forward to hearing their tales every new episode.
These guys clearly do it for the love of nerd culture. They scour the Internet for all of the geek news out there, and even saved me a bunch of money on the Disney streaming service. Keep up the good work, gentlemen!!! 👏🏼
I am a huge superhero fan. I am always wearing the shirts and trying to get my daughters addicted. I was happy to find this podcast. I love H-Town and I love this show. I need to get a shirt so I can be their first customer on that.
Just found these guys and had a great time listening! Subbed and excited to check out ep 202!
First of all, excellent podcast, great content and entertaining as hell. However, 2 complaints I have: 1) listening to Jong stumble and fumble his way through reading an article is PAINFUL. I’d almost rather listen to Floyd Mayweather attempt to read it. 2) every single time Michael pronounces “precedent” as “president” makes me want to jam an ice pick into my ears. Aside from that, excellent work gentlemen.

Two hosts dissect pop culture in a lively, spoiler-friendly conversational style, covering comic-book movie news, streaming shifts, and big industry moves. Recent episodes blend industry analysis of mergers and IP ownership with deep dives into trailers, premieres, and fan-favorite franchises (Marvel, DC, Stranger Things, Game of Thrones, Fallout, and more), all while sparring in a humorous, approachable banter that fans say captures both nerdy insight and entertainment value. A recurring strength is mixing timely news with thoughtful commentary on storytelling, character arcs, and audience reception, making it a good fit for listeners who want both context and personality from two long-running hosts and occasional guests.
