  • Advanced series not adequate

I used to be a big fan of the coffee break series as a beginner but with this “advanced” version I was left feeling very disappointed. First of all Thomas’s voice is not suitable for podcasts, it’s very annoying to listen to and second of all he is not a German teacher like Andrea who can give more insight into grammer and history of the language. Second, as an advanced speaker, I would have expected there to more or complete switch to German. It’s still all in English with bits and pieces in Ge... more

  • Ausgezeichneter Podcast

    Danke Mark und Andrea!

Ich höre euren Show am liebsten!

I started listening to the first Coffee Break 1 episode having no idea how I’d do in the future. I just wanted to say that I’ve reached season 3 of Coffee Break Advanced and can definitely see my improvement, and it’s thanks to you.

Starting with simpler topics and vocabulary and then progressively getting harder, with conversations and stories. Great. 11/10.

The podcast is free, but there is a paid membership option which offers additional instruction and learning materials. I have made valiant efforts to explore this option by attempting to sign up for a free-trial period. Unfortunately, despite receiving initial emails (I have tried several times) promising ... more

  • I love this podcast. I find it very useful as I improve my German language skills. The banter is fun to listen to and it puts concepts into everyday contexts. This makes it easier to integrate the grammatical topics into my working knowledge of the language. Mach weiter so!
