As a musician, I appreciate the depth of Bruce Adolphe’s insight and analysis of the music. It’s a course on music theory, I have learned a lot about playing and music from listening. And it is funny! I often burst out laughing in the middle of listening. Can’t wait for the next episode. A must for any “classical”musician, or any one seriously interested in chamber music!
I eagerly await Bruce Adolf’s Inside Chamber Music lectures. I find his analyses fascinating - they include not only a musical perspective but a historical context as well, with the presence of live group to demonstrate what he’s discussing.
Each episode is a real gem. Mr Adolph is an amazing musician and lecturer with a great sense of humor. As a professional composer, I enjoy his composition analysis and the historical background he presents. I hope many more episodes will be added! Congratulations for the work, Mr. Adolphe!
I love this podcast but the audio production fails to meet a bare minimum. It’s extremely quiet and with the volume cranked, the occasional mic bumps are painful with headphones on. Excerpts are barely audible and it would be nice if they were mixed in. Some light dynamic compression, and normalization would work wonders and spare listeners actual aural pain when trying to hear.
