  • Why Did they change it

Um John Forte was great and now we get Melissa Lee x 2 bc she does fast money . These two are really boring hosts I don’t understand why they changed the hosts that were great . Stupid move and now another bad host change on another CNBC show that makes me skip the program . If it’s not broken don’t fix it

  • Very good

I prefer Closing Bell over Overtime. Scott Wapner is an excellent host and brings in quality guests. I was glad to see the switch to Melissa Lee and Mike Santoli, because I was not a huge fan of Jon Fortt. Usually, I had passed on Overtime unless specific company earnings were being released after the market close. Lastly, please stop bringing back members of the Halftime Report investment committee so often. Guests like Adam Parker, Liz Ann Sonders, Dan Greenhaus, Ed Yardeni, Prof. Siegel, and ... more

  • More Guest Participation

Enough with the excessive “reporter” (really news readers) involvement. It would be nice to hear a thing or two from your guests for a change.

  • TOO LOUD

Why are CNBC’s market shows so loud? It makes listening very tiring. It’s like watching cable news.

  • I wish the CNBC hosts would stop sucking up to Trump and call the madness out…

I’m really tired of all the shows soft-peddling the lack of coherent strategy and meat-axe approach by ”DOGE” to “downsizing” the Federal workforce and just call it what it is - the forced destruction of government services and the administrative state for everyone but the 1%. “DOGE” should, at minimum, publish a strategy, why certain things are targeted, and REAL savings achieved, not just blowhard PR. The “uncertainty” they continually refer to is because Trump and Musk have no agenda to actua... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Closing Bell: Positioning Your Portfolio Amid Geopolitical Uncertainty 4/8/26
Q: Do you believe we had the bottom in the market and can build from here?
Guest guests and hosts largely suggest caution but are constructive that earnings durability and AI ramps could support a rebound; the consensus leans toward ongoing resilience rather than a guaranteed new high, contingent on macro and geopolitical developments.
Closing Bell Overtime: Markets React to Ceasefire Headlines, AI Job Fears and the Search for a Bottom 4/6/26
Q: What are the likely next steps in the market given these geopolitical signals?
Expect continued sensitivity to Iran-related headlines, with potential volatility around key economic data and debt auctions; investors are advised to stay with strategic allocations and look for selective opportunities as the narrative shifts between risk and potential de-escalation.
Closing Bell Overtime: Markets React to Ceasefire Headlines, AI Job Fears and the Search for a Bottom 4/6/26
Q: What did you hear today that moved the ball or not from the president?
The analyst argues the president maintains options and escalatory rhetoric, but the market is watching for concrete steps and whether a ceasefire or broader settlement can be reached by the 8 p.m. deadline, indicating a cautious path forward.
Closing Bell Overtime: Stocks Close Well Off Lows As Equities Shake Off Surge in Oil 4/2/26
Q: What is your read on the oil market and its impact on the broader economy?
Guests explain that oil prices remain volatile with physical flows constrained, suggesting a longer duration of elevated energy costs could pressure inflation and growth, while some strategists see potential for energy equities to outperform as the energy complex remains central to macro risk.
Closing Bell Overtime: Markets Brace for Trump Address, SpaceX IPO Buzz Builds and Nike’s Turnaround Gets Tested 4/1/26
Q: What are the most important macro risks right now that could derail the rally?
Analysts emphasize the risk premium around oil due to the Strait of Hormuz tensions, ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, and the need for clarity on policy and timing to stabilize markets.
