  • Easy to Grasp, A Great Resource

I have enjoyed Susan on podcasts where she has been a guest and am happy for this show where she has given herself more room to roam. The show covers a range of subjects at just the right level of detail with helpful background and asides just where I need them. “But, but, but there’s always a but!” is another aspect I think is terrific, Susan always offers the reality behind a headline’s hype.

Q: Why move away from Revenue-Based Financing to contract-based lending?
RBF often overstates upside and underprices risk; contract-based lending against secure, fixed streams like grants or procurement contracts provides clearer repayment timelines and aligns risk with the actual cash flows.

Q: Can you explain how Enduring Planet's lending works in practical terms for a founder?
We lend against signed contracts or government grants, starting at about $100,000, and we tailor the loan size to match the contract value and performance risk, allowing founders to deploy without giving up equity and with faster access to capital.
