I really enjoy the guests on here, but the host is mostly worried about 4x4s as an investment, a way to make money. I don’t suppose there’s anything wrong with that but it’s a little grating at times. Even the guests he talks to it sometimes feels like he’s just interviewing them to get his foot in the door to make connections or kiss up to a company or shop
Hey jus want say heard of you through Stacy David Gearz . I am a K/5 Blazer / Jimmy fan. 1969-1991 ! Had a few . Would love hear any shows on them . I love all Scouts, FJ 40 , Ramchargers and original Toyota 4x4 pick ups . Keep on trucking!
So I never turn my nose up at a automotive podcast that fits in my wheelhouse and in this case it’s classic 4 x 4‘s. But there are two issues with the show that I wanted to bring up in hopes the host can take it as critical feedback. One is a big one - and as a journalist and podcaster, where every question he asks to a guest, he always answers it (before the guest can) upfront with about a two minute ramble….for example, a question might be: ”tell me where your passion came from for automotive…... more
A must listen for fans of classic 4x4s. Chris and his guests entusiasm and knowledge burst out of the speakers. What I love is how it dives deep into the details. Such an engaging and informative listen full of great tips and incredible stories
Always a great listen! After a friend was raving about the earliest episodes, I thought I’d give it a go. The passion that Chris and his guests have for classic 4x4s and the lengths they go to track them down and restore them immediately drew me in. Great stories about the trucks and their collectors are shared in every episode, each one unique. A podcast for both classic 4x4 diehards and fans of good storytelling generally. Definitely a keeper, not one I’ll be “passing down the line.”
