  • Great to hear player & game highlights

The recaps of games & discussion of how highlighted players handled their positions helps me put a game into perspective. These games go too fast for me to catch details so, thanks Jake & Dan. Only thing that's beginning to bother me from every sports show, podcast etc re: Chargers is the talk about "going for it on 4th" with a "tush push" and assuming that it's just fine for the QB to risk themselves to get it done and that it's their duty. Easy for us skinny folks to say while sitting in ou... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 492 - Trevor Sikkema Talks Chargers 2026 NFL Draft Strategy, Top Fits for Chargers, Remaining Needs | BEST CASE SCENARIO UNLOCKED!?
Q: What is the most realistic path for them to address guard and interior line in rounds 1-2, given the current board?
Trade down from 22 to accumulate more mid-first to second-round value, with Basantis/Rutledge/Pregnon appearing as strong targets at 55 or later, and Mesadur at 22 remaining a top target if still available.
Ep. 492 - Trevor Sikkema Talks Chargers 2026 NFL Draft Strategy, Top Fits for Chargers, Remaining Needs | BEST CASE SCENARIO UNLOCKED!?
Q: If you had to pen a letter to Joe Hortiz for what you'd like him to do between now and the end of the draft season, what would your letter entail?
The letter would stress prioritizing the offense to support the quarterback, specifically ensuring the offensive line is stocked with players who fit a speed-based, horizontal offense, while not neglecting defense but acknowledging the identity shift toward offense.
Ep. 491 - Will Chargers FINALLY Protect Justin Herbert!? Chargers Unleashed Live | NFL Draft Q/A | Fan PTSD
Q: What are your thoughts on where the Chargers should spend their cap space this off-season?
The hosts discuss weighing the trade-off between upgrading the interior offensive line and investing in edge rushers, arguing that with a lot of cap space, they must invest strategically to protect the QB while also improving pass rush, and that a BPA approach will be tempered by position value and the draft board.
Ep. 481 - BREAKING: Chargers Part Ways with OC Greg Roman, OL Coach Mike Devlin After Frustrating Playoff Loss
Q: Would you rather had Herbert do enough to win Sunday and guaranteed Greg Roman returns, or Herbert play the way he did, guaranteed Roman's fired?
Even if you were to say, I mean, as much as I wanted to get Justin Herbert his first playoff win, I don't know if I could stomach watching Greg Roman's offensive play calling any longer.
Ep. 479 - Chargers Del'Shawn Phillips Talks Season Highs & Lessons, Special Teams, Justin Herbert & Playoffs
Q: How do you compartmentalize or not compartmentalize all that?
This team is strictly focused on the Super Bowl, and the past losses have fueled us to do better.
