This show scratches my philosophical itch and then leaves me pondering even more.
Conversations around hot button topics have become increasingly difficult to engage in with those on a different side. This podcast provides an opportunity for us all to consider another perspective in a non-threatening and grace-filled way. Luke offers intentional and thoughtful questions, allowing the guest’s story to be respected. He never gets in the way of that story, giving space for them to tell it as they wish. Luke T. Harrington has created the most interesting podcast I have stumbled onto in a long time. He seeks out people who have done a complete 180 in a core belief. His non-judgmental but unapologetically probing interview style digs into the root causes for why each guest believed XYZ and what caused them to shift to believing LMNOP. This podcast is a refreshing break from the trend toward a polarizing agree-or-disagree attitude so prevalent in our world today. Open your mind, launch this podcas... more
You're bound to hear something you disagree with on this podcast. That's okay. In fact, you might just be glad you did. The podcast explores differing points of view and the process of changing one's mind in ways that are especially healthy, constructive, and valuable in this hyper-tribal, hyper-polarized culture. Luke is both gracious and incisive with his guests, and I particularly enjoy his end-of-podcast musings. Definitely give this one a try.
At one point Luke, the host, mentions this is kind of therapy for him, and I think many of us will feel the same. Refreshing in the age of constant outrage we find ourselves in to hear other human beings just talking about they changed and hopefully grown. I look forward to seeing how the podcast evolves. more
