現代人受到科學、醫學研究的影響，聽到哪些菜可以治病，就產生執著。其實，醫學、科學都只是提供一個營養的參考。最高的營養是我們這心中沒有煩惱、執著、掛礙，經常保持愉快、平靜，吃什麼東西都很美味，吃什麼身體都能吸收，這就是最高的營養。所以我們吃東西，不需向外去追求美味、高營養，明白佛法的道理，就了解這一切都在我們這念心當中。佛法中提到悟道，就是悟這念心。因為「心生萬法」心才是最重要的！所以好吃、不好吃都是心的作用。

佛說人生有八苦：生、老、病、死、求不得、愛別離、怨憎會、五陰熾盛苦。有生必有死，生老病死是人生必定經歷的過程。人在臨終的時候，身體逐漸壞朽，「地、水、火、風」四大分散，經歷死亡所受之苦，就是八苦中的「死苦」。很多人往生前，躺在病床上，色身爛壞到處是瘡洞，就是地大分散。有些人，因為過去造了惡業，地大一分散，晚上就作惡夢，夢到山崩地裂。曾有一對夫妻過去常打獵，之後生病了，在醫院裡躺了八、九年，最後身體到處都是瘡洞，不斷糜爛，夜裡常夢到山崩地裂，心驚膽顫。

佛說人生有八苦：生、老、病、死、求不得、愛別離、怨憎會、五陰熾盛苦。「生苦」，小孩一出胎就開始哭喊，因為胎兒在母親肚子裡的世界與外界不同，一出生，接觸的環境不一樣。嬰兒的皮膚很嫩，大人的手很粗，被碰觸到就很痛，風、空氣、冷熱、接觸，產生出種種痛苦，一生下來就是生苦，所以會哭喊。再者，生的時候萬一難產，生下來時母親也死了，這是不是苦上加苦？未生之前，在母親肚子裡，十月懷胎就像胎獄，「獄」就是牢獄，在胎中像是坐了十個月的監牢。胎獄裡有什麼苦呢？例如，母親吃冰下去，胎兒感覺像冰天雪地般凍得好... more
