解脫生死之意義（十八）
經云：「應無所住而生其心」，心不住在任何境界上，即所謂「明心見性」解脫，六祖就是因這句話而悟道，亦即六祖壇經所說「不思善、不思惡」；金剛經云「不住色、聲、香、味、觸、法。」若住在任何境界上，就感生死煩惱。
修行悟道以後，處處得自在，處處得解脫，這念心不住在任何時間、空間，沒有罣礙。修定的目的是轉識成智、轉迷成悟，悟到本心就是佛，佛就是心，心、佛、眾生，三無差別。契悟本心即是菩薩，迷失本心就是眾生，心有邪念就是魔鬼。

心中的貪瞋癡才是真正的臭，掃廁所是掃除心上的髒臭，所謂「掃地掃地掃心地，心地不掃空掃地」，就是掃除心裡的貪、瞋、癡、慢、疑、邪見。
掃廁所亦可增長善根、福德。佛經上記載，一位破齋犯戒的人，在寺院清掃廁所三年，就可恢復清淨。以這些角度來思惟，掃廁所就不是煩惱了。很多事情經過智慧觀照、思惟，煩惱即菩提，生死即涅槃。透過智慧觀照、思惟而獲得的解脫，即屬於慧解脫。
又如修數息觀、參話頭、中道實相觀，就是定慧等持解脫法門。數息觀就是修定、修慧，能數這念心清清楚楚，就是慧... more

透過般若智慧觀照、思惟，就是正知正見，當下就是解脫，煩惱即菩提。譬如掃地、打掃廁所，一般人覺得是件苦差事，有失面子，所以這種工作都不願意做。假使站在智慧的立場、解脫的角度思惟，掃地、打掃廁所，就是修行助道的工作了。
佛經記載，掃地可以消除業障，增長功德智慧。因為每個人都有我慢心，認為自己高人一等，要想將慢心破除，可以發心打掃廁所或掃地，用來磨鍊自己，漸漸就可將我慢心降伏下來。而且，將家裡整理得窗明几淨，家庭就是道場，居住就會覺得很清淨、舒適，實在有很大的利益。

何謂「煩惱即是菩提」﹖舉例來說，如擔任教職的人，現在就是菩薩，學生就是度化的對象。一般人想度眾生，請他來聽聞佛法，還不見得會來；但是家長自動就會送子女來請老師度化，這是很好的因緣。教學時，若遇適當因緣，將佛法因緣果報的道理告訴學生，就是弘揚佛法，現在就是菩薩。佛法是智慧的啟發及道德的培養，能夠啟發眾生的智慧，培養眾生的德行。工作就是修行，修行就是工作；自己以身作則是身教，將做人做事、因緣果報的道理教示學生，就是言教。若能持此種看法，就是具有般若智慧，當下就是解脫，身心... more
