  • Ads, Ads and some more Ads

I love the challenge since the first seasons. Therefore Challenge Mania should be great but its unbearable to listen to because there is an Ad every 5 mins. It feels like there are more ads, plugs and patreon callouts than interviews. Horrendous money grabbing. The guests are great, the interview subjects are good and Scott is an amazing host, but they kill their podcast with so much shameful advertisement. Too bad. And Derrick isnt made for podcasting. Hes rambling on for minutes and then losin... more

  • Adds for days

Having Adds every 5 minutes makes me lose interest and I ended up giving up mid-episode.

Really enjoyed the breakdown of this show every week and I love the differing opinions of Scott and Lindsey (I’m usually team Lindsey 😂) but it makes for a dynamic show. Looking forward to next season.

The free version of Challenge Mania is generally worth listening to. Scott is pretty funny and generally good at interviewing people. I also appreciate Derrick’s enthusiasm for the show and the firsthand knowledge of the show he brings. However, the ads can be intrusive and I wouldn’t recommend the Patreon unless you’re an OG purist. Scott makes a lot of assumptions about what the “fans” want and doesn’t always seem willing to give the current iteration of the show a chance, so the recaps are di... more
