  • A must listen AI podcast

Such a great podcast! Most AI podcasts drown you in really deep technical jargon or just rehash the same surface-level takes but Chain of Thought has found the perfect in between. Conor clearly knows the space well and asks the kinds of questions that make for interesting conversations and gets guests talking so you walk away actually learning something useful. And the production quality is great, no weird audio or jumps in conversation.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why LLMs Are Plausibility Engines, Not Truth Engines | Dan Klein
Q: What should enterprises focus on beyond benchmarks?
Enterprises should focus on reliability and the ability to ship under real-world constraints, including consistency across varied scenarios, auditable decision trails, and governance aligned with business risk—metrics that reflect true shipability rather than just benchmark scores.
Why LLMs Are Plausibility Engines, Not Truth Engines | Dan Klein
Q: How is APT1 architected differently to address reliability?
APT1 is built around information and actions, with metacognition and explicit semantics for actions; it uses data geared toward agentic tasks, tool use, and policy compliance, enabling stronger guarantees than token-only models.
Why LLMs Are Plausibility Engines, Not Truth Engines | Dan Klein
Q: What causes the gap between AI demos and reliable production systems?
The gap arises because current LLMs produce plausible outputs without guaranteed correctness or adherence to policies, so production needs architecture and data designed for reliability, with auditable traces and explicit action-capable capabilities rather than token-level outputs.
Hallucinations Are a Data Architecture Problem | Sudhir Hasbe, Neo4j
Q: What practical steps should teams take to start adopting this architecture in production?
Start with a semantic map, keep data in existing systems, identify the most relevant tools for your use cases, and then layer on memory and context graphs to enable agent reasoning with guardrails and auditability.
Hallucinations Are a Data Architecture Problem | Sudhir Hasbe, Neo4j
Q: How does GraphRAG improve retrieval compared to pure vector search, especially on complex, cross-document queries?
GraphRAG improves accuracy, ease of development, and explainability by combining vector search with a graph layer that encodes relationships and metadata, enabling multi-hop reasoning and better auditing of decisions.
