My wife grew up with these delightful enchanting and sometimes scary tales. She listened to them on tape just as she was going to sleep. After I married her rshe and I began listening to them each night. Wonderful! Thanks for an amazing achievement of saving them for future generations to enjoy. Wow what story felling. “By Sam Dan !” Awesome!!!!
My wife and I are so appreciative to hear the restored episodes in this podcast. The clarity is stunning! We like to listen to the episodes on long road trips or in the evening as we are turning in for bed. Like so many, I grew up listening to these episodes - for me, on a small transistor radio in my room. My wife had never heard of CBSRMT before but now listens virtually everyday. Thank you for these restorations of all episodes!! Can finally hear “The Graveyard” and “the Corpse wrote Shorthand” and other episodes that were impossible to hear before!! So clear now- wow!!
Thanks for offering these restored versions of CBSRMT episodes. I worked on a similar project, speed-correcting tapes, carefully adding noise reduction if needed, tweaking the EQ, seamlessly restoring any missing bits of theme music before and after the commercial breaks, etc. I ended up with about 350 programs that sound really good, but you’ve restored dozens of others I don’t have in my own archive. Looking forward to working my way through all of your shows. Thank you!

A classic-era mystery drama with a focus on atmospheric storytelling, supernatural twists, and courtroom/legal intrigue explored through serialized radio plays and standalone tales. Episodes frequently pair haunted houses, propheticdevil bargains, and clever misdirections with performances by notable theater and film actors, anchored by a steady host that guides each story's mood and structure. The restoration aims to preserve original theme music, segments, and pacing while removing commercials, making it appealing to fans of vintage audio theater, slow-burn suspense, and storytelling craft. A standout is the emphasis on high production value and theatrical acting, which offers a nostalgic yet accessible entry point for new listeners curio... more
