This approach generally leaves me uneasy as I listen to the theories drift away fr... more

Can the U.S. Broker A Durable Agreement Between Russia and Ukraine? Analyzing the Trump-Putin Summit
Q: What do you think will be the most likely outcome of the war in Ukraine?
The most likely outcome is that the war continues, which is not going well for the West and for Ukraine first and foremost.
Trump and the Courts: Will Our Guardrails Hold?
Q: Tino, do you think we are yet in a constitutional crisis?
Tino believes we are not in a constitutional crisis yet but are experiencing an administration with bold and concerning agendas pushing established norms and legal interpretations.
Trump and the Courts: Will Our Guardrails Hold?
Q: Are we in a constitutional crisis? Is that even a relevant question to ask?
Jack argues that while the rule of law is being severely challenged under Trump's administration, the term 'constitutional crisis' is underdefined and overused, leaving the actual state ambiguous.
Trump and the Courts: Will Our Guardrails Hold?
Q: Tino, how is this current situation in critical ways different from what we've seen before with respect to presidential power?
Tino points out that the current challenge is not just disagreements about power allocation but includes direct executive orders targeting individuals or organizations, financial benefit from executive actions, and a broader undermining of established checks and balances.
Trump and the Courts: Will Our Guardrails Hold?
Q: Jack, let me start with you. You described Trump's actions as a moonshot on executive power in court; what do you think the administration is up to with respect to executive power?
Jack explains that the Trump administration has an outsized ambition to expand executive power significantly, often driven by satisfying Trump's whims rather than a clear agenda.
