I found them by searching for “Looking for Mr. Goodbar” and theirs was the only podcast that came up. I saw this film in the 70’s when it came out and had no idea how it ended. It sort of traumatized me. When these guys say that this a cautionary tale, it certainly was for me! I so appreciate that they both read the book and then watched the movie. There’s a lot to digest and a lot to disagree with, but the erudite pair both argue their respective perspectives with aplomb and passion, their chat being at once considered and spirited. This series would induce any listener to revisit some cherished classics with a renewed and refreshed POV.
