This week we have a full house for our next movie installment: Beck, Tyler, and Cam join Alex to talk about the joys and pains of 2000's Nic Cage vehicle Gone in 60 Seconds, and the 1974 cult film of the same name that loosely inspired it. The crew d... more

Wanted to like this, but the staggering amount of times that car models or trims are questioned or given an “oh I didn’t even know that existed” especially on pretty typical enthusiast stuff which should be a requisite considering BaT audience. The show seems to be hosted by multiple people who are not car guys. Gave it several tries and was just a repeating thing.
Needs revamp with knowledgeable hosts.
This podcast is hosted by very passionate car enthusiasts. They stir it up and find a way to drop references to seemingly countless marques every episode . Keeps you on your toes.
Also like real valley girls of old they say “omg, TOTALLY ….” literally countless times per episode if that’s your jam.
Good stuff
I had to laugh at Keith Martin’s claim that BAT auction write ups were ‘direct’ when every claim about the car’s condition is in the passive voice (e.g., ‘the engine was reportedly rebuilt’. Just say who rebuilt it. Or at least who reported that it was rebuilt!).
Insightful hosts, great guests, and banter to spare.
Content: Killer.
Delivery: it’s time to step it up guys.
Start with the simple hack, no fancy equipment needed. Each party records into his/her phone via AirPods or headphones along with the chosen communication medium which always seems to be a zoom call from the echoiest room available. Then splice the audio tracks together in GarageBand or iMovie or similar. I’m an idiot and can do that, you can too. Yeah, it’s a bit of work, but the content is worth it, and surely there’s a teenager hangi... more

A lively automotive conversation centered on classic car collecting, auction dynamics, and behind-the-scenes operations of an online marketplace. Episodes frequently weave market trends, provenance and certification debates, and event coverage (track days, rallies, and international gatherings) with personal road-trip stories and hands-on listings. A distinctive element is the recurring One-Year Garage game and in-depth breakdowns of films and car culture moments, often featuring guest experts from the wider car-enthusiast ecosystem. This mix of humor, practical buying wisdom, and deep knowledge of BAT listings makes it appealing for listeners who enjoy buying, selling, and appreciating notable cars with a nerdy, community-driven vibe.
