These guys are hilarious. I came over here from Boys Watching Buffy and these guys never disappoint.
I found the Boys during their Buffy podcast and that led me here. I am a girl watching Girls for the first time while listening to two boys talk about Girls for the first time.
They rock!
I recently finished rewatching Girls and was curious to hear other people’s perspectives on the show. I just finished listening to your podcast and I’m so happy I found it! I found myself yelling at my phone correcting you guys and then laughing out loud at your predictions and jokes. I just started Buffy for the first time ever so I can listen along to Boys Watching Buffy. Thanks for the laughs!
The boys give a good synopsis of each episode. They’re really funny and play off each other well. It’s hard to listen to Vance correct every single comment Joe makes, but Joe is infinitely patient. I look forward to each podcast and I’ll miss these guys when this is over.
Joe comes across pretty douchy when he brags about girls he’s hooked up with but I still really enjoy listening to the podcast.
Vance, always tell Joe to not say hoodrats and to not imitate POC. That’s highly unnecessary. Good job outta you. Loved you on Danny & Mike.
Joe, “that’s what they sound like” is not a good excuse. Do better.
1. It is a great way to revisit the show if you watched it before
2. If you have never seen GIRLS and are now watching it, you must listen to this podcast! I really wish it was around when I originally watched the show
3. The analysis and breakdown of the show is great and I find myself wishing I was there to join in on the conversation
4. Both BOYS (Vance and Joe) have strong opinions which gives their discussions about the show more depth
5. The tangents are a goofy and fun part of the breakdo... more
I was very late to HBOs Girls, I starting watching probably 2 years after their series ended. Since I was so late there was no one to talk about the episodes with so this is a good stand in. It’s interesting to hear guys talking about the show though because there are some aspects of female friendship/interaction that I’m fairly certain they don’t understand. It’s fun the hear their take on the show when you know how things turn out. Overall I love the podcast and listen first thing on Tuesday ... more
I watched this show when it aired and really wish I had had this podcast then. Loving the commentary and I remember having many of the same thoughts they do. Keep it up guys!
It’s nice to get a guy’s perspective about this show. I am in season four right so I am curious what you two will think about in certain points of the show.
Fans of the show will love it, but more importantly casual listeners will be pleasantly surprised at how entertaining two men reviewing a show about four girls can be be!!!
