  • Great concept but….

No shade or disrespect intended, but I watch for Alan’s humor and the wine info, and Lee just interrupts constantly and talks too much. If Alan is telling a story, let him tell the story! Sorry…but I’m not subscribing anymore because it’s all too annoying 🫤

  • Just great

Have always loved Alan and the work he does and doing this show with Lee is just great.

I find myself smiling and laughing out loud whilst walking my dogs. I must look mad but I don’t care. Keep up the good work Lee and Alan.

  • Such a hoot!

I came for the laughs, but stayed for the wine tips. A right giggle but you’ll leave just a little smug with your new-found wine knowledge. Highly recommend a listen!

  • Not for me

Thought there’d be more actual “drink” chat about wines and other such alcoholic beverages. Very basic approach to it all. If Alan Carr could stop screeching for 2 minutes, you’d actually understand what the hosts were trying to say. Really not worth a listen if you appreciate a good vino.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Royal Champagne, Strip Chess With Carol Vorderman & Absolute Filth with Tom Gilbey
Q: What made you choose the particular wines for tasting today?
Tom explains that they selected a mix of wines that illustrate common consumer choices (e.g., French Côtes du Rhône) and accessible options, focusing on how age and vintage affect flavor and approachability for everyday drinkers.
Alan Gatecrashes Judi Dench’s Party?! The Oscars, A Guinness Challenge & Wine That Made Alan Cry
Q: What would you pair with an Easter egg and why?
They discuss pairing chocolate with wine, noting that dark chocolate generally pairs better with red wines due to less fat and sugar than milk chocolate, which can dull wine flavors; the guests experiment with both chocolate types to illustrate the point.
Alan Carr Bought A CASTLE?! Lee’s in Tears & Gherkin Cocktail Chaos!
Q: What's a good, budget-friendly white wine for a summer wedding?
Catherine should consider Verdejo or Sauvignon Blanc, both of which are affordable and crowd-pleasing.
Elton John Sent Us a Gift?! Alan Sings Celine Dion & Tom Allen Talks Titanique!
Q: So how do you genuinely feel about, you're going into a show, because you've acted before, haven't you?
It's quite a new challenge, as I'm having quite intense singing lessons because all the vocals are in harmony.
Mexico Memories, Margaritas & Holiday Mayhem!
Q: Hannah, genuine, thank you so much. I'm a little bit annoyed about the blind taste test because I feel like I was in a slight, you know, worse position with the white and the rosé, but it's not going to change the way I feel about you, Hannah.
The blind taste test revealed that Alan won, showcasing how red wine can be easier to identify compared to other colors.
