Whatever is happening in the news right now, there's a book diving deep into the topic. As a journalist I love following the latest headlines, but wanted to take my depth of knowledge to the next level. Join me as I speak to experts - mostly authors - on the topics they have spent extensive time researching and reporting on. The topics may vary, but the conversational tone stays the same.

Ms. McGann goes one-on-one with an eclectic range of authors for half-hour chats about subjects for whom they both share a passion. As a Canadian, I find her mid-Atlantic Irish accent is a real treat. My introduction to Booked In came via a search for David McWilliams interviews, following the Aug/24 publication of his book, Money: A Story of Humanity. Great chat.
Delighted to have found this podcast! A diverse range of guests with engaging and thought provoking topics.
Such a welcome change to some of the run of the mill podcasts. You can hear the enthusiasm and genuine interest from Hilary. Vibrant conversations with each of the guests given the time to voice their answers and elaborate so that each topic is unravelled, and so down to Earth that it feels like I’m in a coffee shop sharing a conversation with them. Love it!
This podcast is a breath of fresh air! So many diverse topics and authors, I’m never disappointed. Hilary’s style of interviewing is spot on and gets to the heart of issues so quickly. Very different to other book podcasts out there and definitely my favourite. Would highly recommend!
This conversation is powerful, Hilary is a compassionate and sincere interviewer who allows Katriona the space and time to speak without interruption. It felt like there was a very real connection between host & guest and I could have listened to hours more- it’s a compelling episode, truly moving and certain parts nearly took my breath away.
