  • What. Is. This.

1st: the audio has actually gotten worse from the first episode to the last. 2nd: the hosts pass off terrible takes as fact (Tarasenko signed a one year deal because he gets hurt often? Huh?). 3rd: this comes off as a 12 yo's show. Hottest Blue in this climate with all going on with Seattle and their fan fiction? Read the room. This show is so much yikes.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 141 ft BFF Fansider Dan Picard
Q: What are some memorable anecdotes about the family's interactions with the Blues and its players?
There were multiple anecdotes, including players hosting camps, a story about the old barn and neighborhood kids, and moments where players visited homes post-games or supported family events, illustrating a close-knit, almost familial relationship between the team and its supporters.
Episode 141 ft BFF Fansider Dan Picard
Q: Can you talk about the significance of the Blues' alumni culture and how it shaped the city's relationship with hockey?
Dan highlighted how the Blues fostered a family atmosphere that extended to fans and local communities, with alumni helping build rinks, run camps, and stay connected to the community. This culture created a lasting bond between players and the city, making St. Louis a hockey-centric town with a deep, generational following.
Episode 141 ft BFF Fansider Dan Picard
Q: From a modern perspective, how do you think your dad's style would translate to today's NHL?
Dan described how the game is faster and the equipment has changed, but emphasized that the core roles—protective enforcers, leadership, and team defense—still matter. He suggested a modern version of the role would adapt to faster pace while maintaining the tougher, captainly presence that kept players safe and players honest.
Episode 152 ft Richard S.
Q: What is the most likely path for Robert Thomas at the trade deadline?
The consensus leans toward evaluating a top-tier return that could involve Owen Power or similar high-asset pieces, but the ultimate decision balances the immediate value against long-term center depth and roster cohesion.
Episode 153 ft Justin Scott
Q: What are your thoughts on the Braden Schenn trade return?
The group felt the return was solid, with Druin and draft picks improving the Blues' future outlook, even if the deal wasn't an overwhelming win.
