Dat Bob Marley bij zijn debuut ruzie kreeg met zijn producer en toen een tweede nam, is niet interessant. Wat ik wil weten: hoe zag een studio op Jamaica eruit? Waarom was het eiland zo’n muzikale hotspot? En: bij een aflevering over zwarte country, Solomon Burke overslaan is onvergeeflijk. Blokhuis is het sterkst als hij oerversies van nummers opduikelt.
