The characters are written to be annoying, immature kids who either talk to each other like brats half the time, or talk to themselves to deliver exposition. They don’t sound like professional adults who know how to handle themselves. I think there were a grand total of two semi-professional conversations from what I heard. There are pauses with dead air for a long enough time to make me think I lost connection. The sound mixing and sound effects are awful, too. I connected to my car’s Bluetooth... more
Story/plot seems to be fantastic. Quality of acting leaves much to be desired. I am most curious why the characters have the personalities of teenagers. Sounds like it was recorded on a phone using free sound bites for the FX.
Black Box presents a scifi mystery from found footage, where we as the audience know Something Bad Happens, and we have to watch it play out each episode, waiting to find out what went wrong. It’s an engaging story with endless mystery and delightful, well-round, and exceptionally voiced characters. The story it seeks to tell and how it’s presented to us as the audience is original, and I’m intrigued more each episode. this is so FUN! really well-written and paced so far, and all the voice acting is done really well! you really do get a good sense of the rising uneasiness about what happened to this poor vessel! excited to see where it goes!
