Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Science, the Flood & Cavemen: the Bible’s Historical Evidence + Dr. Jeff Miller
Q: How do we understand cavemen in a biblical framework?
From a biblical perspective, they are humans created by God and the remains found today are informatively separate from pre-flood humans.
#70 How Rock Data Proves a Global Flood + Dr. Tim Clarey
Q: How do you compress what we're commonly taught today, millions of years old, what is it, 4.6 billion years old?
I would say about 6,000 years, give or take a few hundred years based on the genealogies in the Bible, because the flood was a one-time Earth-changing event that resurfaced the Earth.
#70 How Rock Data Proves a Global Flood + Dr. Tim Clarey
Q: What evidence can you objectively provide that shows it was global?
Biblically, the flood is referred to with the special word 'Mabuhl', implying it's different from any other floods. Moreover, why bring birds onto the ark if it was local? Birds could have fled. Geological evidence shows similar patterns across continents.
Eschatology & the End of the World: Hope, Not Fear + Dr. Fellipe do Vale
Q: How should believing in Christ's return change how we live today?
We should be concerned that the way we live now conforms to how God wants us to live, while knowing that when we fail, it's not pointless and leads to growth and closer to holiness.
Eschatology & the End of the World: Hope, Not Fear + Dr. Fellipe do Vale
Q: What would you say to someone who's terrified right now of the world ending?
I would say there's no test. When God comes, there's no test. There's no quiz; it's about a big 'I love you.'
