John is one of the best Bible teachers I’ve been privileged to listen to - concise and down to earth. My favorite thing about this podcast is that I can confidently share it with young believers or non-believers, knowing they will hear a grace and truth filled message that is easy to understand.
Pastor John asks the questions that many people — in and out of church — get stuck on. And brings the Bible into the conversations being had in culture. This podcast really is “blue jeans theology” — it’s for everyone.
John Whittaker is really a blessing to listen to, glean from, and be stirred to dig into what the text is saying, wrestling with, etc. He has a gift with explaining difficult passages to help us see the background, context and meaning behind the authors intent. I highly recommend listening to his podcast, you will be glad you did!!
Thanks to Preston Sprinkle for showcasing John. I’ve been listening to the older shows for the past couple week. I’m just eating them up. I’m looking forward to betting current with the new shows but that also means I won’t have so many shows to listen to. Anyway, thanks for what you do, John. This show is just good solid content with the call to faithful Jesus-discipleship action.
John is very down to earth and approachable. He focuses all his efforts on helping people truly understand the Bible better. He presents information in a very coherent, concise, and applicable way, and focuses on making sure everything he says in regard to teaching is straight from scripture. He also has great tools on his website for understanding the Bible better.
