  • Love This So Funny!

Just started listening from the beginning and already love it have had 2 neglected holes in my head from Thirst Aid Kit that now has been filled. Just started from the beginning & was listening to the episode from June of 2019 and Nicole eerily says that she thought 2020 was going to be great for her and a lot of other people and I audibly laughed said “Ooooh No future Nicole is going to be so disappointed in at least part of that statement!”

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sasheer References Damn, Daniel
Q: I have a friendship dating quandary: should I reach out to someone after confessing feelings and getting mixed signals, especially if they are moving away soon?
The hosts advise weighing the risk of harming the friendship against the potential for future romance, suggesting honesty about feelings but prioritizing emotional well-being and practicality given the distance; they recommend maybe stepping back and focusing on a normal, friendly relationship unless both sides show clear mutual interest.
Nicole and Sasheer’s Hot Tub Time Machine
Q: Content warning, death, needing insight on if we're over. Hi, Nicole and Sasheer. What can I do about a friendship after a traumatic event when tensions run high?
Acknowledge the heaviness, consider a reset or boundary-setting, and explore talking with a therapist to navigate emotions while maintaining the friendship; open, compassionate communication is key.
Nicole Explains Ghost Rider
Q: What should I do if a friend's husband consistently makes negative comments about me in social settings?
Have a calm, direct conversation with both of them to set boundaries and address specific comments, and consider suggesting activities that don't revolve around alcohol or heavy sit-down meals. If the behavior continues, you may need to reassess how much time you spend in those social spaces with that friend.
Nicole is a Creamologist in the Creamy Kitchen
Q: What would you say to someone asking how to handle a friend who cancels plans, especially during tough personal times?
They recommend clear communication about needs, setting boundaries, offering low-pressure ways to hang out, and recognizing that people may have limits during difficult periods while still valuing the friendship.

Q: Lindsay asks: How can car brands sell the same model for years but drastically change what the car looks like, and at what point is it still a Mustang?
Nicole and Sasheer acknowledge they don't have a precise technical answer, but they suggest it's largely about brand recognition and evolving design language that keeps the model recognizable while updating its look over time.
