stumbled across the Mark Gatiss episode by accident, so pleased to have found this show
The hosts and their guests have such a rich depth of knowledge on Kneale and his work, and their discussions are always lively and entertaining. Highly recommended!
I’ve watched and loved quite a lot of Kneale’s work over the years. But listening to this makes me want to revisit it, and to seek out the things I’ve not yet seen.
Any podcast that is presented by people who know what they’re talking about is appreciated. And there are some really good guests.
If you love Nigel Kneale, you’ll love Bergcast. It covers Quatermass, the Stone Tape, the Beasts and all the good stuff. It’s a great way to discover Kneale’s work, and a great way to rediscover it. Brian Donlevy gets a bit of a hard time!
Bergcast is an excellent bit of podcasting. With a great line up of guests, real expertise, and a genuine love of Quatermass in all its incarnations, Bergcast is well worth a listen. For fans of the Nigel Kneale this is essential listening. It’s so good even Brian Donlevy would be charmed.
