These two young men gab, like girls, speaking in the passive voice, are too nervous, if not scared, and therefore say nothing.

I am the 10th great granddaughter of Solomon Stoddard. He is my paternal direct line. I do understand the feelings that Edwards had about the “Halfway Covenant”. However, we have to remember many of these Puritans were trying to appeal to a new generation of Christians.
