The host outlines several losses: lack of a corporate expression of dependence on God, diminished public worship, less unity of desire, and a reduced spiritual temperature that fails to reflect the health and needs of the body.
Praying Together I: Digging the Well (Originally Published 03.27.25)
Q: Is this a new thing people are doing, or is it a biblical pattern?
The guest argues it is a longstanding biblical pattern evidenced in Acts and church history, not a passing trend, and emphasizes reclaiming scriptural Christianity and the best of historic Reformed orthodoxy in practice.
Praying Together I: Digging the Well (Originally Published 03.27.25)
Q: And so, before we get too deep into it, let's start with a careful definition: what is a corporate prayer service?
Jeremy explains that a corporate prayer service is the gathered church meeting for prayer with a clear, god-centered focus, not merely a sharing session; it should be characterized by unity of purpose, informed intercession, and dependence on God as Scripturally modeled in Acts and the early church.
A Word in Season: A New Devotional from Jeremy Walker
Q: What are some of the different strengths that a book would have compared to listening to a podcast?
Each format has particular advantages; a book provides more precision and clarity, allows for deeper reflection, and offers a portable way to engage with the material.
Leading Little Ones to God IV: In Faith to Faith
Q: What would you say to a young child or an older child who is very anxious about hell?
Emphasize a balanced presentation of sin and redemption, focusing on the magnitude of God's love and the hope of Christ.
