  • Not good

I’ve only listened to one episode with Ben Fordham but I wasn’t impressed. The main issue is Mike doesn’t listen closely to the responses and asks things already answered. Ben was a kind guest and tried to reframe and help with his responses. Feedback for Mike - watch Letterman on Netflix and how he pauses and responds. Or listen to Karl Stefanovic’s podcast.

  • Asks the questions I would.

So Interesting this pod. Love that you ask different questions to the norm and definitely get to know the person. Amanda’s interview I felt such a connection with and loved the life lessons. I have learnt a lot about what you have had to put up with in your industry that I didn’t know also. Learning how to stay down to earth from the Mitchell Coombs interview I loved that. 🫶

    Cant wait for each Wednesday!

Tanya Hennessy: One Video Changed Everything
Q: What was the viral moment that changed everything for you?
The video The Difference Between 18 and 30 went viral, amassing over a million views very quickly and landing Tanya on the front page of a newspaper, which helped her move toward Canberra and bigger opportunities.
Tanya Hennessy: One Video Changed Everything
Q: Can you tell us this story about how your career started to change after that viral moment?
Tanya explains her work in theatre and early radio, meeting Jules Lund who advised her to stop aiming for long-form video and instead create short, highly relatable clips. That shift, plus a viral video, opened doors to Canberra and larger radio roles.
Matty Acton: Grandpa at 38 — The Underage Grandparents Story
Q: First question from the host: After becoming a grandparent at such a young age, how do you handle the curiosity and judgment from others?
Matty explains that he and Esther focus on their truth, share the backstory openly when needed, and use humor to diffuse potential judgments, while prioritizing family perspectives and boundaries for the kids.
Clare Stephens: Cancel Culture, Pile-Ons and the Reality Behind the Outrage
Q: Hey Clare, do you think some people deserve to be cancelled?
Clare argues that cancellation as a concept is problematic and instead focuses on 'pile-on culture,' noting there is a line between accountability and dehumanizing contempt; the goal should be persuasive dialogue rather than labeling someone irredeemable.
