“A wholehearted life begins with values. They are the ‘why’ behind what we practice… while rules address behavior, values get to the heart of the matter.”
—Melissa Helser, Cageless Birds

“Values are the goods we prize and pursue—the things we regard as genuinely worth having, becoming, and giving ourselves to.” —Dallas Willard

"This is the most difficult and at the same time the most important thing to embrace in the Christian life: that we become willing participants (with God), not only in what God does but in the way He does it."

I’ve listened to Morgan and Good Soil for many years and have found his conversations and teachings very helpful for myself and other men seeking to grow in their understanding of God and themselves. His approach, rooted in Wild at Heart took a deeper dive into masculinity and the call God has upon men today. It was raw, unique and easily shareable with other men, religious or not. He spoke to a part of most men that has been repressed or ignored by much of the church at large. He created a spa... more
I look forward to this podcast every week. It was really good when it was just Morgan, but it is even better since Cherie started hosting with him. Morgan and Cherie are masters of language and metaphor for capturing the essence of the with-God life. There is something about the way that they describe things that resonates deep within me and gives me new insight into my spiritual walk with God. I celebrate that God has gifted them with such intentionality and perspective that wakes up my soul an... more
I used to really enjoy Morgan’s podcasts. Both become good soul and when he was on Wild at Heart. I was excited when he went out on his own. But, he has seemed to surrender the ideas he originally had. Now it is “Buddy and Share-Bear” Morgan has ceded much of the show to his wife and it’s neutered the original show and turned it into something that I’m not able to stick with. I hope at some point Morgan follows in the Wild at Heart footprint and separates the male and female aspects of the ... more
A few years ago, I read Becoming a King by Morgan Snyder. Through many of life’s trails, difficulties, joys and just a lack of discipline on my part, I have now circled back to this message that was once doing a good work in me. I am grateful for Morgan’s call and message to us as men. It is teaching me valuable lessons such as seeking mentorship and submitting my ideas of king to Gods plan for my Kingdom. Seeing now if I would have stayed on the path less traveled, the last few years would have... more

A spiritually focused show centered on masculine discipleship, character formation, and communal life anchored in Christian faith. Across recent episodes, the hosts explore themes like redemptive community, apprenticeship to Jesus, and holistic formation of body, mind, and spirit within a faith community. They mix biblical reflection, personal storytelling, and practical exercises—ranging from Sabbath rhythms to relational dynamics—to help listeners pursue mature, God-centered lives and healthier relationships. A distinguishing thread is a consistent emphasis on communal outposts of Eden, mentorship, and living out faith in everyday life, making it particularly appealing to men seeking deep personal and relational growth within a faith-driv... more
