If someone asked you to name a queer icon, who would you say? Cher? Britney? Whitney? Mariah? What about…Bruce Springsteen?

I'm a 65 year old white straight guy living in the Dallas Texas area. Hearing Jesse and Holly's journey filled me with joy. It is often said that we have more that binds us then what separates us and I can certainly bond with their search for “their” Bruce Springsteen. I loved every step of the journey and hope that one day, I can meet them both at a Springsteen gig. A GREAT podcast for fans for Bruce’s music and for anyone who loves pop culture and hearing how pop culture helps define us.
Cool but not for me
i’ve never listened to this podcast i’m sure it’s fine but I hear an ad for it at least 6 times during every podcast i’ve listened to in the last month and it’s annoying enough to give it 1 star just on principal.
I seem to remember a zine with this exact title and premise but these authors have different names. If they aren’t the same people, I hope the hosts give credit to the original zinemakers…
Explain to me what makes you think that 80s rock singer Bruce is more an icon than Elton or George Michael?? Wasn’t he married? At least pick a gay dude like Elton or something.
