This podcast has come at the perfect time. There are so many competing voices about what creators must do to “get ahead,”it’s a relief to listen to something that keeps you grounded while also focused on a higher calling.
This is an essential listen for the artist seeking guidance on their creative journey. Lisa eloquently unpacks some of the challenges that artists face during the process of creating and offers practical yet inspirational ideas and solutions for applying mindsets that encourage creators to better realize their goals. Producer Dan’s observations and experiences also serve as valuable insights that help to expand on topics. I wish I could rate this six stars!
Lisa Smith, an actor and theologian, gives fresh ideas and a hopeful, grounded perspective from her broad experience in both worlds. She addresses the hard reality of being a working artist head on, and gives concrete, helpful ways to reframe the question of calling, in a new context of abundant life. Smith presents with depth and humor, and I can't wait to listen to the next episode. I highly recommend it!
Lisa Smith focuses on some of the tougher questions with which we as artists of faith wrestle. I can tell she’s given this topic tons of thought, and she articulates those thoughts extremely well. I’m very much looking forward to the next podcast, and hopefully, many more!
