I loved this podcast until the reruns started happening so frequently. I sometimes get to listen to new episodes but most of the time no. If your like me and listen to all the episodes I would not recommend. Also some of the messages are not suitable for younger children.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Strict Parents or Built-In Besties?
Q: What if a face-to-face talk escalates?
Use a written message as a bridge, or wait until emotions settle; the idea is to create space for a thoughtful discussion rather than a heated argument.
Strict Parents or Built-In Besties?
Q: How can I talk to my mom about her rules without causing a fight or making her feel bad if they're much stricter than my friends' households?
Try writing a letter first to clearly communicate feelings and reasons for wanting more flexibility, then have a calm follow-up conversation; remember that rules often come from love and protection, and the goal is a constructive dialogue.
Our Relationship Unfiltered
Q: Can a mom vent to her daughter about her problems?
It depends on their maturity level as well. Like, I wouldn't be opening up to my 10-year-old child about issues that I'm dealing with.
Our Relationship Unfiltered
Q: Do you think there's anything a mom should never say to her daughter?
I think just like putting them down and make you feel better. And that's very rare in like relationships with mothers and daughters, but I do see it sometimes.
Our Relationship Unfiltered
Q: When do you feel like our relationship shifted into being, like obviously I'm still your mom, but when did it start to feel like I was your best friend?
Around when we started doing hair videos, and like we were talking, because you would do my hair like every single day.
