First of Jonathan excellent podcast. Love the insights you and your guest’s give, especially for doubles.

Yes even from Mr Ram. (As you can guess from my handle I’m a former Umpire…and he could be a handful at times)

  • Great Episode!

This latest episode is super helpful for club players. Anytime a guest says incessantly “ that’s a great question “ it’s telling. I felt like 80% of the questions dealt with things that can 100% impact my club matches. Well done!!

  • Great tennis content

This is my favorite tennis podcast by far. Almost all of the guests that Jonathan brings on the show have something helpful listeners can learn from. As a high school tennis coach I can’t count how many of the tips I’ve heard in this podcast that I have shared with my players.

  • The gift that keeps on giving

This is one of the few podcasts where I can regularly re-listen to episodes and continue to get value. Jonathan does a great job of keeping the listener in mind while interviewing guests. Because of this, the information is valuable and timeless. And that final question of each episode never disappoints. Thanks for this gem Coach Stokke.

Marc Polmans: AO Men's Doubles Finalist And Wimbledon Mixed Doubles Finalist
Q: What are the toughest parts of the transition from singles to doubles?
Marc cites net sharpness, quick reflexes, and accurate positioning at the net as the primary challenges, along with learning to operate from the center of the court and reading partner dynamics.
Robert Cash: How he reached the semis of the US Open at age 24
Q: How did your college experience prepare you for the pro tour?
Cash argues that the level in college is very high and weekly competition against top teams built readiness, with practice against strong players helping him adjust to the pro level more smoothly than expected.
Pancho Campo: SMILE When Facing Your Fears
Q: When you were a player, what was it that you feared personally?
Fear of embarrassing myself in front of the public and fear of not making it to the next tournament; these fears were tied to finances, expectations, and the possibility of underperforming, which fueled a shift toward mindfulness and long-term mental training.
10 Questions Every Singles and Doubles Player Needs Answered
Q: How effective is Australian formation in modern-day tennis?
Australian formation can offer a significant advantage by disrupting opponents' expectations and allowing players to play to their strengths more often.
10 Questions Every Singles and Doubles Player Needs Answered
Q: What is the best strategy when your doubles partner is getting attacked at the net?
Consider moving back to the baseline if your partner is constantly under attack, as it might be a common sense adjustment rather than sticking rigidly to formation rules.
