The future of Christianity is on the margins, on the frontier - away from the institutions and self-professed leaders that have failed the church repeatedly. Christianity thrives in the Backwoods.

Jeff and Ben discuss the rising trend of evangelical figures who are reinventing themselves in light of the current cultural shifts toward the right.
What's the problem? What should we do about it?
On this episode of Backwoods Belief Ben and Jeff address what church goers should expect from their pastors.

Jeff and Ben have great horse sense in regards to cultural and church related issues
I’ll freely admit I do not spend much time following all the people and podcasts and programs and ‘present paradigms’… but the absolute storm of all the references during the podcast discussion to all these current people and controversies make following the discussion a bit difficult to follow…
Perhaps you could consider providing a bit of context… dropping some breadcrumbs for those who are not as culturally tuned in to all the current events?

I heard of you listening to Right Response Ministries. I listened to one episode and I am hooked- the truth is convicting and the solutions are biblical. My favorite CS Lewis is quoted, encouraging me to go back and reread. I am home sick but am finding healing for my poor, bruised soul. Thank you
This is my favorite podcast! It features two regular people - not Big Eva superstars - with cultural and theological commentary that is faithful to the Bible. The episodes with Dr. Jared Moore and Conley Owens were very edifying. And, I really enjoy all the Lewis references. But, the real strength of this podcast is that the hosts are grounded in real life. They are regular people encouraging simple fidelity to Jesus without “nuance,” which is really just friendship with the world.
Dude, Jeff is my pastor. He’s pretty awesome. Super educational podcast. Luv it!!
