Azathoth Blues is a cosmic horror audio drama created by Jonas Kyratzes (The Talos Principle) and Chris Christodoulou (Risk of Rain), who previously brought you Gospels of the Flood.

Something is deeply wrong in the city. Strange murders are being ignored, dangerous new drugs are spreading, corporations are corrupting everything they touch, and the law itself seems to have a price tag.

  • Can’t Finish - Too Crass

Interesting premise, but poor execution. Ep 1 introduces cult/eldritch themes, but completely abandons them in Ep 2. The characters are flat caricatures with no development, which is frustrating as Harrison is insufferable with no end in sight. The humor is extremely crass, which comes across and tacky and unnecessary, not to mention unfunny. The plot wasn’t interesting enough to get me to overlook the poor writing and acting.

  • Enjoyable

The story was spooky while the characters were funny so it was a good balance. The overall production was great! I really enjoyed this podcast but I didn’t fully love it until episode 5 so stick to it if you think it’s not your cup of tea
