AWS Morning Brief for the week of August 8, 2022 with Corey Quinn.
Awesome podcast, the duck bill group are a bunch of comedians that got together to make jokes about AWS. Great detail for people who deal with AWS every day but also very valuable and accessible for people like me.l who are new to the space. Note to podcast addict app: the stars on the actual app don't actually show up on my phone so hopefully this is registered as a 5 start review because it deserves it.
I tried to like this podcast and listened to three episodes, but all three were rambling and pointless and the host continually points out he doesn’t know what he is talking about and has never worked for AWS (yet tells us about what he has _read_ of their salary structure, etc etc). more
First I am not a Kubernetes fanboy, but I started to listen to this podcast to get an informed independent understanding of why k8s is more expensive to run. I found this was more of a bash kubernetes session and pitch vague solutions for AWS services by Amazon sales. Really hope all the podcasts in the future are not like this one.
So this podcast just contradicts itself it ends with presenters saying they wish AWS provided a history and story of features announced and why, yet in the EFS section they say AWS just talks about its history and story and why customers would want it. Come on people sit on side of the fence!
Let’s face it: AWS changes fast, and there’s much to keep up with. I mean, how many new useless Chime features can there be in a month? more
