  • How Antionette speaks to Shanti

She would not dare speak to Olay or Mandi B the way she speaks to Shanti. I’ve listened for a while but after this last episode idk if I can continue to support because it makes me cringe SO much the way she cuts her off and is beyond condescending to her. Praying Shanti continues to pod with someone that values her and doesn’t think she’s unintelligent.

  • Antoinette’s Growth!!!

After listening to episode 492, I have to shout out Antoinette’s growth over the years from a socio-political standpoint. She’s really been holding her own in that department which I appreciate a lot. I also think she’s one of the few holding the defectors of MAGA accountable. The clip airing Tucker out was needed against Liberals and Leftists glorifying his foreign policy stance. Also, the more growth I witness from Antoinette, the more I’m starting to notice how Libertarian coded Shanti is whi... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 505. Like-ability Politics: Amanda Seales, Mamdani + Trump Ft Marquise Davon
Q: Should Amanda Seales be invited back just on the strength of her contribution to Insecure?
The hosts provide mixed views: one host supports inviting her back for artistic reasons, while another argues it could be bad for business due to ongoing public dynamics, suggesting that any decision should consider potential harm to the tour and brand.
Ep 494. How to Build It Boldly with Dr. Kimberly McGlonn
Q: Why did you feel these books were needed in the business literature?
Because there was a lack of Black women authors writing about business from a humane, human-centered perspective, and a need for truthful, vulnerable storytelling that centers social impact and care in leadership.
Reprise: God is Tricky ft. Jade & Keia of Gettin Grown
Q: What do you suggest for dealing with complicated family dynamics?
Focus on how you can communicate your feelings without expecting the other person to change.
Reprise: God is Tricky ft. Jade & Keia of Gettin Grown
Q: What are your thoughts on Monique's comments about bonnets?
Monique should not police how other people show up in public, especially those who may not have the same financial means; it's more about personal comfort.
Reprise Ep 413. Womanhood With A White Mother
Q: Do you think your mother prepared you for how the world would see you as a biracial black woman?
No, my mom is just grappling with the fact that I'm biracial and black.
