I love listening to the hosts tie Taylor’s songs to books, poems, mythology, and philosophies. I always learn something and listen to the song discussed from another perspective. The richness of Taylor’s songs is discussed and appreciated.
As an English major, I appreciate what the three hosts are doing with this podcast. I love hearing how they apply different themes and types of literary criticism to TS’s lyrics.
That said, it is very hard to listen to Jody’s interrupting. It is good natured, but when the other two hosts are speaking, she interjects so often and it is distracting. This is very common with enthusiastic hosts, but it is unnecessary, especially since she is often just saying words of agreement. Five stars otherwi... more
This is such a refreshing way to think about songs I love! Truly in the TTPD spirit, this podcast is perfect for Swifties who also love literature and poetry. The hosts have really thoughtful and engaging discussions about songs I have sung thousands of times, but they always come up with a new and unique perspective I haven’t thought of before.
I wanted to enjoy this podcast, but, unfortunately, it falls short. Jody, the host, should auto tune her voice as it’s grating and so irritating it’s hard to absorb any of the content. They’re trying to have an intellectual conversation, yet all they do is interrupt each other while rarely listening to each other’s point. With all the choices listeners have today, do yourself a favor and take a pass on this one…disappointed swiftie.
