  • Great podcast but upgrade the audio

As a Neuroradiologist, this podcast has been one of many great tools for me to stay up-to-date on the latest literature in my field. However, there needs to be some serious upgrades to the audio. The opening music is about 50% louder than the host and guest voice audio and it often sounds like the host is talking while being trapped inside of a tin can. This should not be a difficult fix, especially the volume mixing of the podcast. A suggestion might be to use an iPhone as the audio recording d... more

  • ASNR Podcasts

I've been downloading the podcasts since the inception. I am able to listen in my car during my commute. I find this a terrific use of that time and I find myself seeking out many of the articles mentioned in the podcast for detailed reading.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Well done.

I really like the format, short reviews of multiple papers. Reminds me of asking a collegue in the hall about what happened in journal club today. Also a bit of humour is thrown in which is appreaciated.

CTA for Strangulation feat. Jimmy Moon
Q: Can you walk us through this figure that demonstrates the vascular injury?
The figure includes an axial CTA view, a sagittal view, and a 3D reconstruction showing an abrupt cutoff in the right vertebral artery, with consistent findings across modalities that confirm a short-segment occlusion and loss of contrast—supporting a true blunt cerebrovascular injury.
Menière Disease Associated Vestibular Aqueduct Hypoplasia feat. Amy Juliano
Q: Can you go over with us recent developments on the role of imaging in the diagnosis of Menière's disease?
Recent developments allow for improved imaging techniques that can distinguish between fluid compartments in the inner ear, enhancing diagnosis alongside clinical evaluations.
Menière Disease Associated Vestibular Aqueduct Hypoplasia feat. Amy Juliano
Q: What is Menière's disease and how might patients present to clinical attention?
Menière's disease presents with symptoms like vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss, which can severely affect a person's ability to function and maintain independence.
AI intracranial aneurysm detection feat. Babatunde Akinpelu
Q: Can you give examples of how AI got it wrong?
AI had false positives due to normal vessel variations and false negatives, particularly in cases of ruptured aneurysms where surrounding blood obscured visibility.
AI intracranial aneurysm detection feat. Babatunde Akinpelu
Q: What exactly did you do in your study?
We compared the AI's detection capabilities with those of fellowship-trained neuroradiologists on a cohort of CTAs to evaluate the accuracy of aneurysm detection.
