I’m sad this went away :( I think it was the best out of this family of podcasts. The banter between Scot and Jools made it light-hearted and entertaining while also being educational and accessible even for non-coffee snobs. Also loved the interviewing of experts to ensure the credibility of information, as it is difficult to sort through myths in the world of coffee.
Have really enjoyed, especially the episodes on how to identify a good coffee shop and the one about starting your own coffee shop.
This show is perhaps best described as a group of social justice warriors using the topic of coffee to get their beliefs and views across to the audience. You get little out of it on the topic of coffee; rather a subjective and edited view of colonial and imperialist past. Best avoided unless you’re woke?
Decided to start listening because I’ve decided to leave pods behind & start enjoying coffee properly. Educational & fun.
I love listening to Jools, Scott and James (BTW I love the theme music) talk about their appreciation of coffee and the way they explore it’s application and legacy. They are playful as well as knowledgeable and have brought me much pleasure on walks as I continue my own coffee journey. Cheers! James Angel island San Francisco Bay
