I am a sucker for any kind of podcast that discusses film. While I don’t always agree with the taste of the hosts (sometimes more subtle or understated performances are ragged on for not being showy enough) it’s always a fun listen to hear their opinions and they are always engaging to listen to. Art is subjective so I don’t have to always agree. They have also sent me to check on some films I hadn’t considered watching and really enjoyed.
The show started strong but the last several have been increasingly dominated by Joe being creating ludicrous justifications for his grudges and dominating the conversation…and not for the best. Brandon has also taken to saying “um” multiple times per sentence.
While I don’t agree with them on every point or movie, I can’t get enough of Brandon and Joey and their wonderful chemistry on this show! One of my favorite listens on a weekly basis!
Found this through a different podcast Joey was on as a guest- and to be honest I’m super into this.
Was nervous as I didn’t know really what to expect but both Brandon and Joey are all about the experience they both give here, and they both balance each other our personality wise.
Joey is loud and energetic like a line of cocaine, while Brandon is quieter and meek like a cup of tea and it fits here.
Keep it up, both are super entertaining
Interesting podcast but one of the hosts (Joey) just makes the same jokes again and again. He’s repetitive, comes off as ignorant and stubborn, and thinks being loud means his opinion is important.
Brandon has thoughtful takes that make me reconsider my beliefs on certain movies and makes me want to revisit them. I’d be stoked if it was Brandon and other guests, but Joey really drags this podcast down... a lot.
