Hello Victoria, I met you at the PS store this past weekend. Listening to you share your story and just listening to you speak was inspiring. I’ve only had the opportunity to listen to one show and boy did it open my eyes. It forced me to look at myself and see that things I felt were my fault, are really not my fault. I so enjoyed our conversation at the store. I believe people come into your life at the right time for a reason. About an hour after listening to the podcast I encountered the ver... more

  • Wonderful warm hearted people

I can’t say enough about the beautiful heart of this lovely lady. She is doing the things to bring the change we want to see in the world around us. We need more people like Victoria to bring attention to so many issues that need to be changed. What a lovely mission she is on. She could have have turned her tragedy into bitterness but instead has used it as a platform to help others heal. I can relate to her so much and found a new friend.

Victora is an amazing interviewer. Having gone through the brutal journey of domestic violence herself, she brings a wealth of knowledge and vulnerability to each and every show.

Q: What are the practical differences between the Marchman Act and the Baker Act, and how do they influence getting someone into treatment or crisis care?
The Marchman Act targets substance use with potential co-occurring mental illness and allows families to petition for temporary treatment, often with private facilities or beds, while the Baker Act handles acute mental health crises and can result in state-initiated detention for up to 72 hours; both can involve law enforcement, but they serve different triggers and pathways depending on whether the immediate need is substance use or mental health.
