BCS70 tracked the lives of all children born on a particular week in 1970. This included me - and I've been involved now for 50 years.
As I grew older, I came to appreciate how the study had uncovered trends and insights which in turn have directed social policy. Anyone born around that time will recognise many of the themes, but the series also tells the story of how the project itself struggled to stay the course through changing political and economic climates.
