  • Desperately Seeking Self - Care

I’ve been listening to the podcasts through Facebook since our church completed the Heaven study and I attended the Heaven conference in Florida. And we also did the Pray study

which included Around that time I began walking

at my local beach 3-4 days a week. I listen to these podcasts and others as part of my long overdue self care. I am healthier and more balanced as a result. Thank you Jennifer and KC and guests for one of my favorite podcasts.

  • Thanks

I’m new to your podcast but not your Bible Studies.

I’ve listened to the first 9, I believe. And girl, I think we would be fast friends.

Like you one of my biggest fears was loosing my daddy. I lost him to ALS. He was so brave. He is my hero.

Like you, A Bible given to me by my parents at age 17 is what I chose to represent a precious possession. Reasons: it’s Gods word, it represents my parents, and all the mark ups in the Bible represent my relationship with Jesus. (From Courage)

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#404: Can I Rekindle My Faith? With Dr. Mark Yarbrough
Q: Could you list the six essentials to rekindle our faith?
The six essentials are rekindled devotion (bold trust in Scripture), rekindled dependence (total reliance on God), rekindled love (authentic compassion for others), rekindled holiness (character), servanthood (humility and giving), and rekindled zeal (a burden for the world).
#404: Can I Rekindle My Faith? With Dr. Mark Yarbrough
Q: Is there any believer who is safe from having their faith grow cold?
Everyone is at risk; life circumstances, trials, and the modern tech-enabled world can erode devotion, so restoration requires intentionality and posture before God.
BONUS: Wisdom From the Front Porch
Q: If you could sit down with someone from history for a conversation, who would it be and why?
I would like to meet Eleanor Roosevelt to understand how she became so influential, how she dealt with public scrutiny, and how she formed her own opinions while supporting her husband's work.
BONUS: Wisdom From the Front Porch
Q: From the time you were a little girl to now, has there been anything you've seen as far as inventions that made the biggest difference either in complicating or simplifying life?
Technology, by a long shot, because it reshaped daily life from transportation to communication, yet it also challenged us to stay connected to people in a world that moves faster and feels less personal.
#402: Can I Recognize Jesus in My Everyday Life? With Kyle Idleman
Q: What practical steps help a listener pursue Jesus' kingship in everyday life?
Pray for God's kingdom to come, then identify one or two areas (like work or finances) to adjust in light of Jesus' lordship, and read Scripture in community to keep perspectives true to the Gospel.
