  • De-Essing

    Ansonsten mach weiter so.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#77 DE: Follower Q&A - Carbs Gesundheit vs. Performanace, Sportgetränke, Neuste Supplements und Mehr
#77 DE: Follower Q&A - Carbs Gesundheit vs. Performanace, Sportgetränke, Neuste Supplements und Mehr
#75 ENGL: The Mindset of Olympians - What it Takes to Win with Simon Hartley
Q: How can coaches implement a sustainable mindset shift within a team rather than relying on a psychologist to drive it?
Hartley emphasizes embedding thinking into the team culture so it persists when he's not present, by training coaches and captains to lead debriefs and focus on process, not just outcomes.
#75 ENGL: The Mindset of Olympians - What it Takes to Win with Simon Hartley
Q: Is resilience more about nature or nurture, and how do environment and people around an athlete influence it?
He argues both factors matter but nature plays only a small role; external influences, especially surrounding champions who model resilience and a growth mindset, shape how athletes respond to setbacks.
#75 ENGL: The Mindset of Olympians - What it Takes to Win with Simon Hartley
Q: What sparked your interest in this space and led you to become a sports psychologist working with elite athletes?
Hartley describes an unusual path where sports psychology emerged from sports science; he studied psychology after failing exams like the flying aptitude test, then built a career by working with elite athletes and gradually moving from lecturing to applied practitioner work.
