統合デザイン学科の卒展が終わって1週間。2525本音ラジオ最終回は、卒業制作実行委員会の委員長と副委員長、アートディレクターの3人に今年度の卒業制作展を振り返ってもらいました。会期中の様子や地域との繋がり、展示だけではない運営としての挑戦を運営側の視点で聞くことができました。

トウゴウの大学院2年の3人に統合デザイン学科の修士課程についてお聞きしました。大学院で研究するデザインってどんなこと？短くとも濃い充実した生活や、人数が少ないからこそ密な学生の繋がりなど。学部生も知らない大学院について知ることができました。

「課題じゃない自由度の高い制作って、慣れてないし、難しい」「1年じゃ足りないかも。3年くらい欲しい」
学生である今だから感じる悩みかもしれない。つまずきながらも学び、成長していく課程と、それを楽しんでいる彼女たちが、すごく素敵に見えました。

卒業制作期間真っ只中の4年生2人に、普段考えてることを話してもらいました。
「間になれる。自分は、デザイナーであり、エンジニアであり、詩人であり…」「言葉になる手前にある、喉につっかえている本当に言いたいことが、作り終わったあとに見えてくるような気がして」
ものを生み出す一人の人間として、学生として、今の自分に至った経緯や大切にしたいこと、発見したこと。変化の途中にあるけれどそんな自身に対して誇りを持っている、嘘のない素直な姿を見れたような気がします。
