北港朝天宮每年農曆三月十九、二十日兩天的迎媽祖活動，以北港溪為分界，分為南街與北街，十九日上午「南巡」遊行至南街一帶，二十日早上則「北巡」繞行新街地區，眾神巡幸北港鎮內各個街巷。北港朝天宮迎媽祖於2011年獲指定為國家重要民俗，為讓民眾認識該文化，節目邀請連年主辦「北港迎媽祖遶境體驗營」的北港媽祖志工團理事李茂長、總召李振安、小組長蔡享潤，分享北港媽祖志工團的組成與使命，以及學員在遶境體驗營中可以體驗到哪些北港百年陣頭等。該團體對民俗文化資產的保護與傳承，彰顯臺灣多元的文化價值。
