烤火的喵小鱼老舍先生一直是我特别崇拜的现代作家，大家耳熟能详的作品可能大多为长篇小说或者话剧，如《四世同堂》、《骆驼祥子》等。澶老板带给大家的是老舍先生早期的短篇小说作品，其故事大多以民国老北京的市井生活为刻画对象，不乏讽刺与诙谐。用老舍先生的话讲：用今天的眼光看，这些作品实在有些过景了，那么，就请读者以古董看待他们吧，我希望，古董也有古董的某一些好处。在为大家讲播每篇小说的时候，因为有些词汇如今已经不常用了，所以我稍稍做了修改。另外每一篇小说我自行进行了分段，每段做了标题。如有不妥当的地方，还请见谅。当然，希望能不断为大家带来好的作品，同时希望大家多提意见。

王五头上的疤都紫了：“又多喝了两盅，不由的就说了。”“他呢？”“他直要落泪。”“说什么来着？”“问了我一句——老五，你怎样？我说，王五听四爷的。他说了声，好。别的没说，天天出去，也不坐车。”我足足的等了三点钟，天已大黑，他才回来。“怎样？”我用这两个字问到了一切。他笑了笑，“不怎样。”决没想到他这么回答我。我无须再问了，他已决定了办法。我觉得非喝点酒不可，但是独自喝有什么味呢。我只好走吧。临别的时候，我提了句：“跟我出去玩几天，好不好？”“过两天再说吧。”他没说别的。。。。
王五是个诚实可靠的人，三十多岁，头上有块疤——据说是小时候被驴给啃了一口。除了有时候爱喝口酒，他没有别的毛病。他又喝多了点，头上的疤都有点发红。“干吗来了，王五？”我和他的交情不错，每逢我由李家回来得晚些，他总张罗把我拉回来，我自然也老给他点“酒钱”。“来看看你，”说着便坐下了。。。。
“道理都是一样的，”他说，“总是劝人为别人牺牲。”“你不是已经牺牲了个爱人？”我愿多说些事实。“那不算，那是消极的割舍，并非由自己身上拿出点什么来。这十来天，我已经读完‘四福音书’。我也想好了，我应当分担老四的事，不应当只是不准他离开我。你想想吧，设若真是专为分家产，为什么不来跟我明说？”。。。
