對你懷有期待的人，就是信賴你的人，期待是種感情上的需求，最重要的不在於期待是否獲得滿足，回應期待的真正重點在於彼此間的信賴感。無需為做不到的期待而焦慮，因為被期待的內容保證做不完，惟有能做多少就盡力去做，珍惜這份信任。不要輕易傷害別人對你的信賴，重點不在於做的對與否，而是適當的處理好你與「願意相信你的人」的關係。

人生在世，如果只為自己而活，不用懷疑，狀況肯定很多。別活得不明白，不要光講道理，講道理就是我沒毛病、我沒錯，但有用嗎？狀況依然不斷啊！人生活著，如何不要出一些讓彼此難受的狀況，好過總是想我沒錯。所以，你打算怎麼解決問題，你要怎麼做以避免出狀況，這在佛門裏叫做「自利利他」，讓我們與這個世界的狀況，是在一種彼此都覺得可以接受的狀況，這才是重點。所謂的修行，正是讓其他的生命，有機會實現他生命的路。
