印順老法師為了扭轉傳統佛教「重信仰，輕事實；信古說，疑考證；親祖師，疏佛法」的弊病，遂提出「依法不依人，依義不依語，依了義、不依不了義」的學法準則。但是，印順老法師的意思，絕對不是讓學人「只問知見、事實」，其餘有關師生、法友的「恩情道義」，人與人之間的人情義理，全都可以置之不顧。從印順老法師著作的《華雨香雲》談及太虛大師的文章中，可以發現其對法及待人的風格，是「依法論法，情真義重」。學習佛法是為了開展智慧，既能內息煩惱，也能慈悲利人。法的可貴是在能夠利人，學法的真正重心是在「人」，不是「法」。「... more

五戒、十善不能稱為佛法，只能稱為「世間通法」，佛法是正覺之法，能導向內在的覺醒、滅苦，這才叫「佛法」。雖然五戒、十善不能稱為佛法，並且與正覺沒有直接的關係，但不能因為與正覺、解脫沒有直接的關聯，就認為五戒、十善不重要。它們是值得學習的善法，但要不要遠離肉食，則由你自己決定。
