「佛法」不是哲思理論，而是回應眾生的實際苦難與需求，佛教是在人間發展，也必然是回應世間度越苦難的需要，僧團在人間發展，必然離不開僧團與世人的生命交涉。因此，當脫離了生活，脫離了世間，必然不是 世尊的本懷。世人在一生的努力，主要是三件事：解決實際面對的困難、開展人生的道路、度越自他的苦惱。這是每個人從生到死，天天都要面對及努力的三件大事。 世尊的教法根本，也是讓僧人或居家弟子能藉由修學佛法，得以在生活中體現「解決困難、開展人生、度越煩惱」。
當我們一入佛門時，只是想學佛法，學佛法才是我們的本願。至於接觸到什麼，學什麼，那是我們人生學習的因緣及過程。我們在尋法、求法、學法的過程裏，不斷的質疑，不斷的懷疑，或發現問題的答案，這是在改變、在進步。我們不需要因為各自學法的因緣、過程及遭遇不同，而彼此相互的排斥。因為從一開始，我們就一樣，動機一樣，目的一樣，只是經驗不同，過程不同。
隨佛長老自32年前(1990年)的農曆正月22日起，開始了傳揚「因緣法」的人生，宣講完全不同於現今佛教的佛法，不論現今佛教界是如何看待他，依然會堅定於「因緣法、四聖諦」的知見與良知，持續到此生的最後。長老提醒法友們：人生短暫，此生可貴。但只要循著符合現前因緣的智見，精勤不懈的努力，人生必有所改變。現實人生是緣生法，既不是常樂我淨，更不是無常、苦、空、無我。我們不要把現實視為美好快樂，而變得庸俗眷戀，也不要將現實當做既苦又糟糕，以致對人生的態度變得消極厭棄，進而喪失了生命的動能。我們必須遠離這兩種... more
宗教原本是要解決人在生活當中許多的困難和問題，如果我們忘失了這個真正的意義和目的，最後我們可能會變成某一種宗教虔誠的信徒，會不自覺的對其他的宗教或者宗教使徒產生不樂不悅之心。我們活著不是為了宗教，活著只是在宗教的學習裡，學會並且分享解決我們生命痛苦的方法和經驗。不同的宗教提供不同解決人類痛苦的經驗，我們分享彼此生命的可貴經驗，讓我們的生命在短暫的一生裡能夠活得更好、困難更少，並且能減少痛苦，這就是最可貴的事情。
