独自の取材源を持っていると思われる話題や、海外メディアを参照している回は面白いのですが、そうでない話題は的外れに感じることが多いです。特に、情報源を（日経を含む）既存マスコミに依存した国内ニュースの解説は、どうしてもオールドメディア的な構文に引きずられてしまい、「ああ、この人も同じか」という印象になります。
一次ソースに触れられる識者が出演する番組が他にあることを考えると、あえてこの番組を選ぶ価値は、以前より薄くなってしまったように思います。
また、テレビのワイドショーのように、専門外のテーマにも一人でコメントするという番組構成自体が、現代の情報環境では厳しくなってきているのかもしれません。
